GENERAL
LICENSE INFORMATION:
~ Fishing
licenses go on sale March 1 and are valid until the last day of February
~ All Licenses, except Sportman's Licenses, are available for sale at most
county clerks, sporting goods stores, hardware stores, TWRA offices, local
boat docks, Wal-Mart and K-Mart
~ Contact the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency at 800-332-0900 for
state fishing information
WHO
NEEDS A LICENSE:
~ Tennessee
Resident or Non-Resident over the age of 13
~ Tennessee Residents over the age of 65 may obtain a special license from
the state
~ Tennessee children under 13 are subject to the same limits and
regulations as adults
~ North Carolina Resident or Non-Resident over the age of 16
~ North Carolina Resident over the age of 70 may obtain a special license
from the state
~ North Carolina children under 13 are subject to the same limits and
regulations as adults

Annual Hunting and Fishing Combination ~ $21.00
~ Resident One-Day Fishing ~ $2.50
~ Resident Annual Trout ~ A supplemental required license to fish for
trout ~ $12.00
~ Non-Resident Annual Fish (no trout) ~ $26.00
~ Non-Resident 3 day Fishing (no trout) ~ $10.50
~ Non-Resident 3 day All Fish ~ $20.50
~ Non-Resident 10 day Fishing (no trout) ~ $15.50
~ Non-Resident 10 day All Fish ~ $30.50
~ Non-Resident Annual All Fish ~ $51.00
CREEL
LIMITS:
~ Five rainbow or
brown trout, small mouth bass, or a combination of these per day, whether
they are in your possession and regardless of how they are stored, fresh
or frozen
~ 20 rockbass may be kept in addition to the limit above
~ All brook trout and any fish below the minimum size must be immediately
returned to the water
~ Once reaching the daily possession limit, a person must stop fishing
RESPONSIBILITIES:
~ Fish
responsibility to protect and conserve the natural resources
~ Utilize the catch and release and selective harvest programs to
increase survival rates
~ Respect other boaters, swimmers, landowners and anglers
~ Keep
only what you can eat
~ Remove any trash from fellow anglers
~ Protect and preserve the environment
